We have blogged in the past about articles and news stories discussing weight loss surgery for teens. This seems to a popular topic within the world of bariatric weight-loss surgery. In fact, the National Institutes of Health recently announced their intentions to study bariatric surgery in adolescents.

Yesterday there was a new article posted online at HamptonRoads.org, a news website for the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. This article is about an 18-year-old Chesapeake teen who underwent bariatric surgery (gastric bypass) and lost 170 pounds.
